Shaan Patel “ The Silent Sharp Shooter”
Shaan has been at Champion’s Quest for 10 weeks and is making tremendous progress. Shaan is 13 years old, displays quiet confidence is very focused and has a strong work ethic for such a young athlete. This work ethic and discipline were given to him by his parents, Jalpa and Yogi. They are very hardworking entrepreneurs who understand the importance of hard work, dedication and working with people. His parents laid an excellent foundation for Shaan’s success on and off the court.
Shaan attends The Oxford Academy Prep School in Cypress, Ca. The curriculum is very demanding, but Shaan thrives in this competitive academic environment. Shaan uses this silent competitive nature to play the game he loves. Shaan has been playing basketball for years and he loves to shoot “the rock”. The Rock is an expression used on hard courts throughout the world which is another name for basketball. Shaan plays on travel, club, and local basketball teams to continue to work on his game.
Shaan enters Champion’s Quest 3-4x per week with a soft smile, basketball in hand and eager to get better. He sits down completes his homework for the day, then picks up the ball, performs his shooting program and then participates in his weekly strength, speed and flexibility clinics. As you can see he personifies the life of a champion student-athlete balancing academics, athletics and basketball skill set. Shaan has a big heart, very competitive and has a desire to be the best shooter on the court. Shaan’s overall athleticism has grown over 154 % and his core, upper body strength and speed are his strongest physical traits. This impressive development has increased his confidence, shooting mechanics and overall athleticism.

These primary strengths of athleticism provide Shaan with the foundation to become the superior basketball player on the court. Shaan, continue to believe in your gifts and talents, continue to work hard and continue to use your passion on the hardwood.
