Gabby Amaral : Committed to Reaching Her Goals

Gabby started her training at Champion’s QUEST Soccer Academy back in April 2021 as an 11 year old. When she first started her training here, she was playing as an outside back on a Flight 2 team. She was very aggressive and never afraid of any challenges that came her way. However, she always had aspirations to play higher up the field, and in order to do that she had to develop her overall athleticism and soccer skills.

Gabby knew what she wanted and was ready to put in the work to get there. Since beginning her training here at Champion’s QUEST, Gabby has logged in 1,229 hours of training. Gabby has been one of our most consistent athletes and it shows in her development athletically and technically. Those hours were spent working on her athleticism in our Strength, Speed, and Power Clinics, as well polishing her technical ability in our Finishing and First Touch Clinics. Gabby also participated in our Soccer Summer Camps for 3 summers in a row. With all the training Gabby has put in, it has taken her Benchmark Testing score from a 8.8 to a 53.0 – showing a 502% improvement in athletic ability over the last 3.5 years. She has also developed confidence in her ball skills and decision making on the field, making her a more formidable attacker on the field.

Fast forward to now, and Gabby is 14 years old playing the center attacking midfielder position at a much higher level. Gabby is currently playing with CDA Slammers Koge G10 in the ECNL Regional League, and she has also started her first year of high school at Bellflower and will be playing on the Varsity team as a Freshman. Gabby has been recognized for her consistency in training by receiving the Commitment Reward here at Champion’s QUEST for the last 2 years in a row. She has also become a very active part of our community by volunteer coaching with our Summer Camps this past summer and overall helping new athletes get acclimated into the academy.

Gabby’s journey is not over yet as she continues to work toward her goal of playing at the highest level that she can and becoming the best player she can be. We are very excited to see what the next few years have in store for her. Keep working hard, Gabby!
