Another Soccer Commit: Autumn Opperud

Back in June of 2016, Autumn Opperud dedicated herself to become the best athlete and soccer player possible by

beginning her training at Champion’s QUEST. To reach her goal of playing collegiate soccer, Autumn

has since devoted over 70 hours of training at Champion’s QUEST. This is in addition to Autumn’s high school and club soccer responsibilities and her academics.

At Champion’s QUEST, Autumn attended Speed, Strength, Power, Soccer and Champion’s Challenge Clinics to develop her athleticism and endurance on the soccer field. In over a year of training, Autumn improved her total athlete score from 20.9 to 47.2! Autumn has shown her biggest improvements in her agility, speed and strength. Autumn was able to lower all three of her agility scores (linear, lateral and single leg) and also her acceleration and change of direction speed. She lowered her 10-yard sprint time from 1.90 to 1.64s and her 5-10-5 change of direction speed from 5.56s to 5.06s. Autumn also showed significant improvement in her strength and upped her push up score from 32 to 67 repetitions and increased her plank hold time from 1 to 4 minutes!

Autumn is a senior at Marina High School in Huntington Beach and will be playing on the Varsity team this season. She plays her club soccer for California Rush G’99 Team coached by Jason Clifford. Recently, Autumn verbally committed to playing college soccer at the University of Jamestown in North Dakota. Congratulations Autumn and I’m looking forward to following your continued success!
