Kailey started her training at Champion’s QUEST Soccer Academy in mid-June of this year. Kailey is 14 years old and plays the left midfielder position. She is a freshman at Cypress High School and will be playing for the Junior Varsity Girls Soccer Team. On the club side, Kailey plays for CDA Slammers HB G03. On Kailey’s first day at Champion’s QUEST, she set some athletic and technical goals for herself. Kailey wanted to increase her endurance, muscular strength, and sprint speed. Also, she wanted to develop a better first touch, improve her shot placement, and earn a spot on the Junior Varsity team at Cypress.

Kailey worked hard during the summer and throughout the fall clocking in 60 hours of training and it showed during first benchmark retesting. In just 3 ½ months of training, Kailey made an astounding 143% improvement in her athletic ability! Kailey’s biggest improvements were seen in the agility and speed categories. She increased her single leg stability and balance by lowering her single leg skill test time from 5.39s to 4.41s. Kailey improved her linear and lateral foot speed and body control by lowering her 1-2 and 1-4 drill times from 9.26 to 4.83 and 9.70 to 6.21. Also, Kailey was able to improve her speed and lowered both her 5-10-5 change of direction from 5.65 to 4.71 and 10-yard sprint speed time from 1.75 to 1.59. She increased her core strength from a 3-minute to a 4-minute hold! These results have translated onto the field as Kailey feels more confident on the field and has noticed an improvement in her passes and shots.

Kailey is a hard worker and is always putting forth her best effort during training. She is now looking toward completing her long-term goals of working her way up to the varsity team at Cypress High School. Congratulations on your accomplishments so far Kailey, we look forward to helping become the best soccer player and athlete you can be!
