Three years ago, Emma Malsy decided to take her first step towards a NCAA Division I Soccer Scholarship – she completed her initial Evaluation/Testing at Champion’s QUEST and mapped out her physical and mental goals for her future soccer success.

Emma was not necessarily new to Champion’s QUEST, her older sister Mikaela Malsy, now an alumni of the program, was a personal walking billboard of her success in her first year of the soccer training program. Mikaela is now a standout Freshman soccer player at Whittier College and had an impactful year on a positive season for the college.

Fast forward to today – Emma is now a senior in the super competitive IB (International Baccalaureate) program at Ocean View high school with a cumulative GPA of 4.61. Emma has improved over 115% in total athleticism over the past 3 years in her speed, agility, power, and strength. At a height of 5’10” Emma jumps 21 inches off the ground and can run a 5-10-5 drill at 5.06 seconds – a time that’s very fast for a very tall Goalkeeper.

Emma loves a good challenge in the classroom and on the soccer field. She has been the Starting Goalkeeper for her high school Varsity team and her club team, So Cal Blues ECNL team. When deciding on a college to attend, academics and athletics were a high priority for Emma; as well as, finding the right fit in a team that could use her intense focus and hard working attitude. The ultimate decision came down to Emma giving a verbal commitment to play college soccer at Arizona State University and enroll in the Barrett Honors College
