Early development at Champion’s QUEST
Joseph joined Champion’s QUEST in 2016. He built a broad base through our middle school prep and development clinics, then focused on running as his interest grew. The foundation formed in our Middle School Prep program set him up for success once he reached high school.
Servite High School highlights
- Progressed into mid-distance events during track season, including the 400m, 800m, and 1600m.
- Senior year gains came from improvements in endurance strength, core stability, and power output.
- Helped Servite become CIF State Track & Field Champions in 2025.
Training that moved the needle
Our staff emphasized quality reps, running economy, and balanced strength to support mid-distance speed. With steady work in Private Training and targeted Speed & Agility sessions, Joseph hit personal records in the 400m and 800m, and gained confidence across the 1600m.
Next chapter at Cal State Fullerton
Joseph began his freshman year at Cal State Fullerton and is working to earn a spot on the Track & Field roster as a walk-on. The consistency he built at Champion’s QUEST, paired with a disciplined approach to training and recovery, positions him well for collegiate development.
Coach perspective
“Joseph transformed from an energetic middle schooler into a focused, resilient athlete. His discipline and coachability set the tone for his progress.”

This year, an athlete who committed himself to our program at Champion’s QUEST since 2016 has graduated high school and is off to college. During the years of his early athletic development, Joseph Janji competed in multiple sports yet always had the biggest interest in running. With the guidance of our coaching staff, he navigated towards Cross Country and Track & Field during his middle school years, and even more so once he attended Servite High School. At Servite, Joseph used this Cross Country seasons to prepare himself for the mid-distance events during the Spring on the track. During his senior year, Joseph excelled in the open 400m run, along with running in the 800 and 1600 meter races throughout high school. After his many achievements, he was able to help his team become CIF State Track & Field Champions for 2025.
Here at Champion’s QUEST, Joseph first started the program 9 years ago in our middle school prep program for 8-10 year old athletes along with his older sister. He stayed committed and moved his way up into the high school prep program development clinics, and soon after continued his athletic development with private training once he committed himself to Track & Field. Throughout his senior year, we focused on his endurance strength, core stability and power output which helped him reach personal records in both the 400 and 800 meter races.
This semester, Joseph began his Freshman year attending Cal State University, Fullerton, where he is planning to continue his running on the Track & Field team. This will be an effort by Joseph to try out to make the team as a walk-on since he did not receive an athletic scholarship, but we have full belief that he will make the team once he commits himself mentally.
Our coaching staffed noticed Joseph morph from a pre-adolescent with extreme amounts of energy into a focused and bright young man with a very promising future. We are all very proud of his accomplishments during his time with us at Champion’s QUEST as well as his achievements at Servite High School.
