Does your athlete know the 5 keys to adapt?
What does adaptability mean? Well, the answer is simple yet complex. Simple, because adaptability is the quality of being able to adjust to new conditions. Complex because conditions are uncontrollable and unpredictable, they are going to happen. In athletics, conditions can change in moments; weather, coaches, plays, systems, emotions, calls and we can go on and on. The modern day athlete must be equipped with this quality of adaptability to not only compete, but optimize performance to be excellent. Now, lets take a look at the 5 keys of adaptability that every Modern day athlete should possess:
A – Attitude of Adjustment – The mindset to decide quickly and move with intentionality.
D – Discipline – Stay focused on the task at hand and at the same time keep an eye on the ultimate goal which is to WIN.
A – Anticipation – Anticipate, plan and prepare for the challenges in advance.
P – Poise – Manage emotions & stay under control to pursue victory.
T – Trust – Trust the training, the process and believe without question.
Adaptability is the quality of being able adjust to new conditions. The 5 keys of adaptability are now in your possession, go and live like a Champion on and off the field!!!
