In youth soccer, size and athleticism often overshadow technical ability and hard work. Yet, it is hard work and determination that help the undersized athlete stand out, improving their skills and competing at the highest level.
Elia began her journey at Champion’s QUEST at just 8 years old with clear goals: to improve her athleticism and refine her soccer technical abilities. When she first started playing soccer, like many young players, she was learning the basics—dribbling, passing, and shooting. What set her apart early on, however, was her relentless drive to improve.
Elia’s initial athletic assessment reflected the challenges of competing against larger, more physically developed players with a total score of 2.3. Yet, through hours of dedicated practice, she worked to enhance her strength, speed, and agility. Her assessment score has since improved to 19.3, marking an incredible 739% growth in her overall athleticism.
This dedication has translated seamlessly onto the soccer field. Now 10 years old, Elia is stronger, faster, and more confident than ever. Her team, Pateadores HB 2014, competed in 13 tournaments this past year and they reached the final in every one of them. They had 8 first place finishes & 5 second place finishes. With a 6-peat in there. However, what makes her story truly remarkable isn’t just the wins but the extraordinary progress she’s shown along the way.
At just 10 years old, Elia’s journey is only beginning. Her hard work and potential lead to a bright future ahead, and we are excited to continue supporting her every step of the way.
